Meet our director
Michael Skates is well known and respected in the New Zealand business community. Michael’s early career was in the vehicle importing, financing and leasing industry. He’s helped clients navigate the challenges of bringing specialised vehicles and equipment from overseas.
More recently, Michael has been working in the energy sector, which has given him a broad understanding of New Zealand business, and the challenges that small to medium enterprises face.
Michael is a champion of small businesses, the backbone of New Zealand’s economy.

Edward McKee Wright has more than 30 years’ experience in the invoice finance industry across New Zealand and Australia. Over the course of his career, he has played a key role in establishing, leading, and growing a number of successful finance businesses.
Edward began his invoice finance career with ScotPac and has since been involved with organisations including Lock Finance, ORIX, Capital Merchant, MARAC, Working Capital Solutions, and Asset Finance. His extensive experience spans business development, operational leadership, and strategic growth within both established and emerging finance companies.
Having owned and managed invoice finance operations on both sides of the Tasman, Edward brings deep industry knowledge, practical expertise, and a long-standing commitment to helping businesses improve cash flow and access working capital solutions tailored to their needs.
